Blizzard and Twitch have joined together to dub April 14th as “Twitch Day“!
On this special day, Twitch and Blizzard will be offering the Overwatch League viewership double the league token drops, which viewers can use to purchase special in-game skins.
Those currently watching the series in-person at the Blizzard Arena will also be getting a bunch of other goodies, including Twitch merchandise, T-shirts, and meet-and-greets/autographs from streamers such as Anthony ‘Harbleu’ Ballo and Stefan ‘Datto’ Jonke.
Justin Dellario, the head of Twitch’s eSports program, said,
“Since Twitch is home to many dedicated Overwatch fans, our Twitch Day at the Overwatch League event was designed to give them a chance to show off their love for the game IRL. And for those who can’t attend in person, pass-holders of the All-Access Pass program can show off their love of the game in chat from the comfort of their home.”
Twitch will be announcing All-Access Pass rewards on Twitch Day live.
They’ll also be announcing a special “ultimate collector’s bundle” for Overwatch all-access fans, which provides, of course, a bunch of collectible goodies, as well as exclusive rewards.
The Overwatch League match for Twitch Day will begin today starting at 2:00PM PDT between London Spitfire and Philadelphia Fusion.
