SM Entertainment makes MAJOR acquisitions for its drama productions

SM Entertainment is really going all in on its drama/television sector.

It has acquired both FNC Add Culture and Key EAST entertainment.

FNC’s Add Culture is FNC Entertainment’s company that mainly specializes in printing, but also has a hand in drama/broadcast productions.

The company is known for printing a variety of things such as lottery tickets, special event tickets, gift certificates, as well as commercial business products like brochures.

SM Entertainment is now a majority shareholder in FNC Add Culture, owning 31% of its stocks.

And of course, you all probably know Key EAST Entertainment.

It is home to many well-known actors/singers, such as Kim Soo Hyun and Han Ye Seul.

SM Entertainment purchased the shares previously owned by Key EAST’s CSO Bae Yong Joon.

Bae Yong Joon was compensated by being given stocks of SM Entertainment in exchange for his shares.

We’re super excited that SM Entertainment has made such huge acquisitions for its television/movie sector.

Let’s hope that these acquisitions can help remedy SM’s issues with bad drama productions.
